MODEL SAFETY TIPS

Safety first will lead to a great photo shoot.

 

  • Check references.

  • Always arrange to meet new contacts in a public place.

  • Have a friend or family go with you.

  • Get proof of their identification and take a photo of them. Send the photo to a friend.

  • Do not be too trusting of people even people you know.

  • Do not allow yourself to be pressured into doing something you do not feel comfortable doing.

  • Don’t make it easy for someone to follow you home after a meeting.

  • Let someone know where you are going and what time you expect to be back.

  • Always phone them to let them know of any changes in your plans.

  • Always make sure you have your mobile phone with you

  • Have money to get home.

  • Before leave make sure you have all your belongings with you.

  • Never leave your drink or food unattended.

  • Know the location of the shoot and let other know about it.

  • Read between the lines when communicating if things sound is odd take note.

  • Look at the photographer's online profile.

  • Know their real name

  • Know the type of modeling you will be doing.

  • Meet first before shoot at Starbucks to talk about the shoot.

  • Be cautious of ads in local papers, classified ads and the Internet looking for models.
