Wedding photographers should do!

Wedding photographers should do before, at and after the wedding:

Edit the photos before giving the photos to the bride.

Do not go crazy with filters on every photo.

Make sure the photos are sharp and vibrant in color.

Always have a second shooter.

Take the fun unposed photos.

Communicate and be in sync with the bride, know the next move.

Be helpful, if the bride needs something make sure she gets it.

Respond to email and voicemail fast.

Stop texting and talk with the bride, listen to her needs and ideas.

Take the candid photos they help tell a story.

Make sure to take the photos the bride asked for.

Spend time with the bride before the wedding to go over the details.

If needed go to the rehearsal dinner and learn the flow of the wedding.

Know the key players and make them feel good.

Have a checklist for the specific pictures.

Take table shots so the bride will have a good visual account of everyone at the wedding.

Have a plan and shoot list.

Make sure to follow the wedding shoot list.

Exceed the brides expectation.

Know the timelines for the whole wedding day.

Do not hold up the wedding to get your photos.

Know before the wedding the plan and the venue.

Know how everything ties together.

Be honest about how long it would actually take.

Speak up and give direction.

Do not over sale or over promise.

Manage the brides expectations.

Know the “DISC” personality profile and know how to interact with them.

Work with the other vendors.

Have lots of ideas for the group photos.

Make sure the photos are back to the bride as stated in the contract.

Be creative with the location for the first look and bridal party.

Have the wedding album made by hand and be creative with it.

No boring template for the wedding album.

Create romantic and intimate ideas for the photos.

Be open to ideas and not closed off.

Take a few instagram photos and let the bride post them the day of the wedding.

Do not do cheap work, it will be a negative reflection on you.

Do not play around with the camera. No chemping.
